Last week a jury in Judge Christopher Collier's courtroom found in favor of Medina chiropractor, Dr. Bruno C. Rossi and his employer, Medina Centerpointe Chiropractic, Inc. Mr. William Clink of Runsen Road in Medina had alleged that Dr. Rossi had negligently treated him for a back problem. He further alleged that the corporation was liable because at the time he was treated Dr. Rossi was employed by the corporation. His wife, Dorothy, joined in the lawsuit claiming that because of Dr. Rossi's negligence she had suffered a loss of consortium.
Originally the lawsuit had been assigned to Judge Kimbler. Judge Kimbler removed himself because a member of his staff used to work for Dr. Rossi. The case was then transferred to Judge Collier, who also removed himself. The Ohio Supreme Court then assigned Judge Robert Brown from the Wayne County Common Pleas Court to hear the case.
This trial was the second trial in a malpractice case in less than a month to return a verdict for the doctor being sued.
