Judge Collier's Criminal Docket for February 1, 2009

Medina County Prosecutor Dean Holman reports that the following people appeared in Judge Collier’s court for criminal cases on Monday, February 1, 2010:

Steven Dutt, 46, of North Pardee Street in Wadsworth, was sentenced to 20 months in prison on one count of Driving Under the Influence of Drugs or Alcohol, a fourth-degree felony. His driver’s license also was suspended for life and his car was ordered forfeited to law enforcement. Dutt also was ordered to pay a $1,350 mandatory fine upon his release from prison.

Mario Dennis, 30, of West Union Street in Medina, pleaded not guilty to one count of Possession of Crack Cocaine, a first-degree felony. The charge carries a forfeiture specification. A jury trial is scheduled for April 7.

James Foote Jr., 31, of Larkins Way in Medina, pleaded not guilty to one count of Trafficking in Marijuana, a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for March 24.

Joseph Humphrey, 22, of Fairview Avenue in Wadsworth, pleaded no contest to one count of Trafficking in Marijuana in the Vicinity of a Juvenile, a fourth-degree felony. Sentencing is scheduled for March 15.

Michael Jewell, 36, of Thornton Street in North Canton, pleaded no contest to one count of Possession of Cocaine, a third-degree felony. Sentencing is scheduled for March 15.

Sarah Kafantaris, 22, of Manhattan Drive in Brunswick, pleaded not guilty to one count of Possession of Drugs, a fourth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for May 5.

Raymel King, 23, of Medina, pleaded not guilty to one count of Possession of Drugs, a third-degree felony and one count of Possession of Crack Cocaine, a fourth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for April 14.

Dale Nye, 45, of North Court Street in Medina, pleaded not guilty to one count of Theft, a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for March 29.

Joshua Ross, 18, of Julian Avenue in Akron, pleaded no contest and was sentenced to two years in prison on one count of Assault of a Police Officer, a fourth-degree felony and one count of Escape, a fifth-degree felony.

Catherine Slivka, 26, of Knowlton Parkway in Strongsville, pleaded not guilty to one count of Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony
