Steven R. Ward of Jefferson Avenue in Brunswick entered a plea of “no contest” to two felonies involving drugs in Judge Kimbler’s court on Monday, March 15, 2010. Judge Kimbler found him guilty of both counts of the indictment.
The first count of the indictment alleged that Mr. Ward illegally cultivated or manufactured marijuana in the presence of a juvenile which, because of the amount of marijuana involved, is a felony of the second degree. The second count alleged that he possessed marijuana which is a felony of the third degree.
Judge Kimbler ordered a pre-sentence investigation and will sentence Mr. Ward on April 29, 2010. Judge Kimbler remanded Mr. Ward back to the Medina County Jail since he had not made a bond that was previously ordered.
